Orc warlock and ruler of Csurrahan in her own right. The white skin comes from magic, though her particular discipline has left a mark on her left hand, a creeping blackening of the skin up to the mid-point of her lower arm. The temperature is also noticeably cooler up to the point where the black skin ends.
She specialises in the darker sides of enchantment, which means she works with blood and bones, enchanting them to affect others (warlock enchantment can end up with the warlock controlling someone bodily, if they have their blood, for example). She is, however, also capable of healing (and thus of inflicting pain) as well.

Same world as vharuunensong except a few hundred years earlier/pre-industrialisation.

Plus about seven other half-siblings, all who will, in time, take high offices in the country when they're old enough (or already have). Ka'rram is the supreme commander of the country's military forces - as the oldest, rule is his by right of birth, but with no real interest in it, he and Vala has come to an agreement; he has more say in the areas that does interest him than he as supreme commander would otherwise have, plus a few other privileges (such as access to the royal harem, and his firstborn will be the next ruler if they're suited for it) but he is not a proper co-ruler.
